I have been involved as a judge in a large number of industry awards during my 35 year career in the media and marketing industry so it was with great excitement and anticipation that I prepared for the final stage of oOh!’s Million Dollar Pitch contest in Sydney yesterday in my role as a member of the judging panel.
It was the culmination of an innovative campaign by the team at oOh!, which challenged professionals working in our industry to show what they could do with a one million dollar Out Of Home campaign.
The five finalists’ presentations delivered yesterday were truly outstanding. Not only in the quality of the delivery and the commitment to significant clients and causes but also in terms of the creative application of the oOh! network and in particular our digital assets.
The ultimate winner was Brisbane based advertising agency, BCM, who together with veteran Sargent Rachel Ingram, pitched a brilliant and moving campaign proposal on behalf of Walking Wounded, a charitable organisation set up in 2014 to support the psychological recovering and rehabilitation of returned Australian soldiers.
